The Company

SBA-Norðurleið specializes in coach and bus rentals and is one of the largest companies of its kind in Iceland, with operations in Akureyri and Reykjavík. The company began operations in 1980 and has built a strong and reliable business over the years.

SBA-Norðurleið employs around 70 people year-round, with the number increasing to up to 200 during the summer season. The vehicle fleet consists of approximately 110 modern, well-equipped vehicles with seating capacities ranging from 6 to 70 passengers. The fleet includes, coaches, modified highland buses, and four-wheel-drive vehicles. All vehicles are equipped with 5G wireless internet, and most feature USB charging ports in the passenger area.

The safety and comfort of passengers and employees are always a top priority at SBA-Norðurleið. The company places great emphasis on selecting the most suitable vehicle for each group, taking into account road conditions, weather, and specific needs at any given time.

Workshops are operated at both company locations, and SBA-Norðurleið carries out all maintenance of its own fleet in-house. In addition, several modified highland buses have been rebuilt within the company.
